How can no one there see you need help? What is the point of all of those resources if only the people who are extra good at asking for help get to use them?

Took car in for service expecting to spend $279. Picked car up, and paid $1987. OUCH. But, I am grateful that I can easily afford it. When I was paying that bill I was really thinking about how many people would struggle, not be able to get to work, etc. if they had an unexpected expense like that.
Truly can’t say it to anyone in my small city: To the long-term, casual friend who sits at the other end of my pew, you constantly covet prayers for your sick sister and other family issues on Facebook, celebrating your own righteousness. However, yesterday you made an ugly comment on a fake news story and called a public figure a lying, deceptive b****. Just how Christian is it to put out such hate and how are you not intelligent enough to recognize a blatantly fake news story? I’ve pretty much lost all respect for you.

Despite the rain, a great day to march for science with a few HS alum friends.
Great to see everyone in great spirits and folks of all ages from toddlers to seniors. Was also amusing there was only a handful of counter-demonstrators at a building whose calls for us to “Go Away” and “Shut up” were drowned out by the miles-long multitude of Science Marchers.
Thank you soo much God. Karma, Universe, etc!! I will remain cautiously optimistic until everything is finalized BUT, it looks like my BFF is finally getting some positive news that will make such a huge difference in their life. Please keep the good news coming – BFF is truly one of the kindest, most incredible humans I know. [-O<
