The second time in two years you deny him admission (this time without even a place on the wait-list) and you send him another shitty form letter? You already know from his application that he’s too old to reapply next year (as are many applicants no doubt), so why would you send the SAME letter to all those denied admission and make a point of telling him he can reapply if he still makes the age cutoff, which you actually know he doesn’t?
And you can’t even be bothered to have an actual human being sign the damned letter?
All this talk of providing a “values-based education” and “integrity,” “excellence” and “service” - you might want to try practicing what you preach a little.
And by “actual human being,” I mean an actual name, not an original signature. Signing a rejection letter “The _________ Selection Committee” is ridiculously impersonal for something as important as this.
Get a job. Stop pretending that you have “things going on”. the only things going on are the fantasies in your head. Stop chasing unicorns and get a job if you need money.
You might recall that I testified before a state legislative committee recently to object to a proposed bill that would eliminate continuing education requirements for licensed engineers in Maine. Afterwards, I was happy because the committee members really seemed to “get it.” I thought we were all set. Ha! I think the bill will be narrowly defeated in the committee, but ONLY because of partisan voting. There are 13 members and now the expected outcome is 7-6 against the bill - right down party lines. Really disappointing. This issue is not rocket science. I can’t believe the one party is still insisting on trying to pass the piece of you know what.
Oh thank you for this place! I can’t post directly but I REALLY have to say it somewhere.
Yes, he has children by more than one wife but he provides support to them, and continues to do so but some how that makes him racist???
You got knocked upped by your drug addict boyfriend in high school, were suspended (boarding school), because of complications from that pregnancy you aren’t able to have children now but you think it’s ok to criticize people that have children out of wedlock or by multiple partners? Really, with the amount of time you spend posting on Facebook you could hold down a job despite your “disability”
Why is a rich person’s grief so newsworthy? Is her situation heartbreaking? Of course. But why is she now the person lecturing me about what it’s like to lose someone? I lost a parent in my teens and a sibling before I reached the age of 21.
And she gets to make a boatload of money off of this too?
My son got a paid internship.
The commute will be long and a PIA, but he will make a decent amount of money, it’s in his field (finance/accounting) and it should help him land a job when he graduates. We are celebrating this small success.
