Yesterday was a big day. Three big events. Puts a smile on my face.
I’m finding all the mother’s day flower advertisements on the web pages I’m looking at annoying. I already told dd that I will buy whatever I need on my own and please don’t buy me any overpriced flowers or gifts. We will go out for dinner/lunch once her final exams are over. The best gift would be doing well in her classes this semester and ending up with grades she is hoping for.
If trying to be sympathetic to fellow posters and calling for more civility in this online forum is annoying to others, then I guess I have nothing of value to contribute here. Good luck to all of you!
I really just want to not participate or acknowledge Mother’s Day this year for many reasons. This is what I want ,this is what I have expressed.

I HATE having car issues. The last time before today that I got in my car and it would not start was probably 30 plus years ago. I just spent $2000 on this car. Then I took another day off because a light came on that I had to deal with.
Now, I had a dead battery, and hopefully not more. (Fingers crossed that it starts in the morning).
I know I haven’t had any trouble at all with this car until the last couple of weeks, but I also HATE being that person… who calls into work because their car won’t start (yeah, right…).
Not to self:
Next time you get your hair cut, make sure to tell her you don’t want it so short on the sides. If you wait until after you see she’s hacked into it to where your scalp shows and tell her you didn’t want it that short, she’s liable to leave it too long on top. Then you’ll get home and decide it looks disproportionately top-heavy and be tempted to get out your hair trimmers and try shortening the top yourself with an attachment that’s SUPPOSED to only cut at one even length. No, you’ve never tried it before, but what could go wrong?
It’s not as bad as when you were in 7th grade and your father decided to cut your hair himself the day before class pictures, but you will probably have to wait a good 2 weeks before you don’t look like you have a few blotchy spots of thinning hair on top. Idiot. 
Is it wrong of me to be enjoying this so much??
I am so glad we relocated from the NE, my only regret is that we didn’t make the move sooner!

First interview for a summer internship. Even if he doesn’t get it, I hope he uses it as practice for school interviews. Especially since he’s going in cold.
One of my favorite groups is Pentatonix. Avi Kaplan just announced he is leaving the group, and I am bummed. I also feel like a crazy fan girl for saying that.
