So glad to see Edie Windsor being remembered for her courageous fight for equality. Tiny, but mighty.
It’s 9 months into 2017 , which has been an all around crappy year…I keep waiting for things to get better, I actively ty to improve what I can. I really need a break
Yes, it’s a big birthday for me. I worked hard all day starting with a 7 am meeting. There was a lot of good in the day and I was celebrated by my staff, friends and family. No, I’m not going out tonight to have a big dinner. My dream evening is happening- sitting in bed watching some good TV!
I really should get Lasik in near future…wearing eye contacts all day wears me out (no pun)
We had so many milestone-ish things happening this year, and we have not celebrated a single one!!! Screw the evil overlords. They can sit all day long in their stupid meetings all by themselves. We are going to Disneyland! Sort of.
So in addition to the hot tub breaking, the TV breaking, the front door breaking, and all sorts of other things breaking, – we upgraded to a new, improved, faster and more reliable modem and router yesterday. After four hours on the phone with three different lovely and very patient young men from the cable company, they finally figured out that the reason my old laptop now can’t get internet is because it doesn’t support the new, improved, faster and more reliable modem and router. Apparently I also need a new $#@^&* computer.
If I did something to deserve all this, I apologize.
After trying to demure recently when asked where my Son is attending College, and being treated strangely and not spoken to by some supposed friends. I will just say this. My Son was accepted to Princeton, he worked hard to achieve this. He was also regected by many “IVY” and top 10 Universities. I would like to think that I had an incremental effect on his success. I am pretty sure he was accepted because of the whole of his upbringing including his work ethic. I am now going to proudly declare that my Son is attending Princeton, partly because we saved for him and mostly because he earned it.
Now that I’m getting this stress of my chest I’m also going to say, Football is incredibly dangerous to children’s brains. Lacrosse, Hockey and Soccer is also proved to be brain damaging. There are many sports that aren’t damaging head contact sports that your kids could play without risking their brain. Look into it if you aren’t afraid of facts.
When you stumble upon some information, put 2&2 together, and it become completely obvious where the pretentiousness come from “Oh, I get it now!”
It would be so nice to have some good luck for a change.
For the umpteenth time…there is a thred for that!
Everyone knows you are lying.
What’s with the trend where people add kitty cat ears and other odd things to their photos? Looks so dumb.
Let her do it her way, it really is her life. Not yours!
thanks for the venting space ;
As true tomorrow as it was when I first posted it here, two years ago. He’s still in love, and still a great person, now he has a job, and an apartment far away. And I still cry:
“I cry so much on your birthday because I remember when we miscarried your twin, delivered you early, slept on your floor in the hospital because we were afraid you’d die alone when you were 10, spent years reading to you while they stuck needles in you, waited in offices ad finitum, only to see you go to college, fall in love and be a wonderful person in your 20’s. Every birthday is a gift beyond bearing, so I cry.”
Please be just a minor flare up. Please, please feel better tomorrow.
Always both irritating and fun to see a teenager trying to disprove a parent’s point…
I admit it… some posts make me laugh even when they are not really funny.
Do you ever come on here and type something out and then feel so petty and ashamed that you can’t post it? Yeah, me either. Asking for a friend.
Yet another thread, pretending to ask for advice, but actually screaming “See how smart I am???”
Yawn.
