Scams You've Encountered

It’s easy to make things look legitimate. You should see the reports and documents I get from AI! They look like they were published in a book. Unbelievable.

The best practice is not to click on links in emails. Especially when they are for a charge you didn’t make on a card you don’t have. It’s tempting to want to know more but I suggest you let it go. If it’s not a scam and an innocent email typo as you suggested earlier then there is no charge you owe to worry about and this doesn’t matter. If it is a scam then opening that link is exactly what they want you to do.

Maybe set a reminder in a few weeks to check your credit record again to make sure no new credit cards have been opened. In the unlikely event anything shows up later you can handle it then.
