What wonderful information and really wowed by the fact that so many of your have traveled there.
What do you think is the right amount of time to spend? We are pretty flexible and so wonder, other then as long as possible, what you think would work to experience enough for the 1st visit.?
A lot of Sweden either shuts down or slows down drastically in July. There are even hospitals that close for the month! Just before is one of their biggest holidays, Midsommar. It’s fun and the Aquavit flows freely!
I’ve been in Stockholm in May, June, and July. Not really crowded but it is a city. When it’s a nice sunny day, everyone is out, sometimes shirtless.
Iceland was unbelievable. You could visit Pingvellir, Gullfoss, and Geysir all in one day, for free, and just walk right up. That would be like going to Yellowstone, Niafara Falls, and somewhere else, which is quite a bit harder to do here.
greenwitch, my husband and I rented a car and drove that route…seriously the most amazing landscape I have ever seen in my life…just driving down ordinary roads and seeing steam coming out of the ground and the waterfall was just beautiful !
