SCEA - Class of 2011

gahh my friends went to bed so ill get the edits asap tomorrow.
it seems like their servers are being hammered and they took down a lot of the graphics and made the login page more plain to conserve bandwidth.

hope everyone’s submitted their apps. if you haven’t, what are you doing reading cc? go finish it. looks like a lot of lurkers have come out to party in the last two days. :D

just noticed on the wiki, two students (athletes) were already accepted. good for them but its two less spots for the rest of us. i’m starting to get really worried about my chances now:(

are you serious?

:(

app should be due at midnight tonight. … ugh. I’m still trying as hard as I can to not think about the stinkin’ thing.

If i got into Stanford as a christmas present, I wouldn’t need anything else…

status: submitted
woot woot

Good Luck to all who have applied. I wish we could all be accepted just for the fact that we care so much about our education and are ambitious enough to pursue the best :)

dang, my teacher let me read his rec, and it’s bad. does anyone know how that could affect me? For the box that said how well he recommends me, he put “fairly strongly”. crap.

What??? I thought athletes still had to submit apps and go through the same process…

:(

That’s not fair…

I’m done, just haven’t submitted yet…

realitysucks, that happened to me too! just hope that ur other one is more impressive, I guess.

ever since I submitted mine I’ve felt pretty good and frikkin happy…until I remembered that I’m really only entitled to this dopamine high after I’ve actually gotten in. so yeah I’ve been fooling myself…

Major freakage outage!

I’m working on my app right now. How did you all deal with paragraphs? Did you all indent or leave a line of space in between?

talking about christmas… you know stanford is a tree, which represents christmas. so maybe everyone’s (whoever applied around the world) christmas present is an acceptance letter. so what about the other rejection letters according to Stanford’s early action statistics? probably a conspiracy to make the gift even better for all of us and to better their stats.

please disregard this (was hyper)

HAHAH Choboking.

That just made my day. :]

lol lets not talk like that right now. I don’t want to think about the “r” word.

Whoaaa it took me way too long to figure out what the r word is.

Lol… I knew right away. So clearly, joannerz, clearly, you are stupid. Just kidding! Haha. I was crabby all today and finally I’m in a slightly more jovial mood.

What are we gonna talk about now, on this wonderful SCEA thread?

Clearly we can’t express our anxiety for 40some days, as that is in the countdown thread :P

yay i finally applied

Submitted at 11:58.

11:58!!! Wow…eastern time, I presume? That’s cutting it close…

I’ve submitted (a few hours ago)! Yay!!!

What a relief…now I can actually do school work…or can I…?

:o talk about anxiety…

lol pyleela, yea it was eastern time. I started my essays on Saturday :frowning: so I’ve been working around the clock. My only worry is my intellectual idea essay…it was driving me nuts. Just six more weeks and we’ll all know! I can’t wait.

does anyone know what happens if the application is turned in a couple minutes late? also, i thought they went on pacific time so we have up until 3 eastern, although no one should be cutting it that close.

I throught it’s PST too
I just submitted it at 10:15 PM PST, hopefully it counts
