<p>i was in the scholars this past year, and i’ll say it has good things and drawbacks. you go on enriching field trips, you get to register with the class ahead of you, you meet a bunch of new people, etc. unlike honors, which is more academic based, scholars is for more cultural experiences. i enjoyed some of the trips, and the forum had some interesting speakers. to remain a scholar, you have to go to 12 events each semester, and keep over a 3.25 to stay in. i’d recommend joining just to see if you like it, then deciding after the first semester if you want to drop, though you can drop at any time.</p>
