I feel this aspect of attending college out-of-state is often overlooked. Since school holidays are peak travel times, it can be very expensive to fly home.
OP - Go to a site like Kayak and price a round-trip ticket from the colleges you’re interested in. See if there are direct flights or if you have to layover someplace. Add travel expenses to your cost of attendance.
