My D just got accepted EA, and heard – yesterday – that she qualified for Presidential Scholarship consideration, with an invitation to visit on the January or February weekend. She’s excited, as she hasn’t visited Beloit yet (my son and I visited 2.5 years ago, he liked it a lot, but ended up elsewhere), and is looking forward to visiting.

But yes, from what I understand, you have to apply for the Presidential scholarship separately and visit Beloit (and interview) on one of the weekends. The Eaton and Trustee scholarships (which are also quite generous) are granted without a separate visit.

I also recall that the Admissions Department at Beloit was exceptionally kind, patient, and helpful answering our questions. I would second the earlier recommendation regarding asking them questions about scholarship requirements. Good luck.
