<p>I’m enjoying this discussion about Dayton because I’ve lived half an hour away all my life. Previous posters are right, it’s hardly a hot spot, but I think it has a bit of an undeserved bad reputation. I don’t know if this is of interest to the OP, but the arts scene in Dayton is incredible. There’s a gorgeous new performing arts center that brings in national productions, and there are plenty of local groups that provide tons of performance opportunities. </p>
<p>UD is a great school with a strong reputation around here. The campus is very nice as well.</p>
