For someone from WV who can get need based aid. He is better off at private schools, as many are within 6-8 hours of WV. As AustenNut mentioned, the very top publics donât provide OOS merit aid. Most of the auto merit schools are in the south or great plains.
I donât think thatâs Case is a likely, even with regards to my profile. The number of apps they get and their acceptances would bring it to like a 40-50 percent chance at best.
My son was accepted as a MechE, and your stats are better than his. More likely, if you applied and did not demonstrate interest with campus visits, etc. Case would defer you and invite you to apply again ED II because the AO thought you were using them as a safety.
It was 2014, when he applied, but for some reason my son was accepted with a lot of merit and had never displayed any interest. Probably the exception and not the rule.
