<p>when you guys say schools like maryland, wisconsin, indiana, etc. (public schools), are they also transfer friendly to OOS students in admission and financial aid?</p>

<p>myothersn- actually, the weather has been absolutely beautiful!!! This past weekend it was sunny and about 80 degrees! It’s not quite that warm now, but it’s still in the mid 50s mostly. It’s been so nice lately, but who knows whats to come in the future.</p>

<p>Wash. U. has been great to transfers. They’re invited to convocation and they have required seminars during orientation week separate from freshmen. The required seminars make the student leave their rooms and meet other transfer students. The t-shirts the transfers were given for convocation said “I had a freshman floor, it just wasn’t here”.</p>

<p>In response to Morgoth’s question in post 15, U Chicago will accept transfers from anywhere, but the successful applicants tend to come from highly-ranked schools because that’s where top students tend to study.
Chicago takes more transfers than Unalove suggested (figures from collegeboard.com):</p>
