<p>For my son Winter Study (January term) was one of the top attractions at Williams. Kids take one course, usually something offbeat, quirky or outside of their normal spheres of knowledge. Many courses involve travel – within the country and internationally. Independent study or individually designed programs is also allowed.</p>
<p>There are also lots of social activities planned that month as well as ample opportunities for winter sports. In short, it’s a fun and stimulating refresher before getting back to the business of serious study in February.</p>
<p>As parents we were sorry that the December holidays were cut short, but on the other hand having a bored college student at home for 4-6 weeks in the winter is not always the best environment for family relations either.</p>
<p>This is Williams course offering for Winter Study. Always made me wish I could enlist.
