<p>I have no idea about the bio department or the chem department.
There are actually a lot of senior physics majors this year, making the average class size for the upper levels about 12 or 15, which is unusual for the physics department. There is an independant study class of two people, because a lot of people didn’t want to take quantum 3.</p>

250s and 350s in any subject are the number designated for independant studies. A 360 or 370 is a thesis in that subject. So don’t be surprised if you see those courses for every department, but one or two students is in them.</p>
