Science Subject Test (Sick on Test Day)

@Mwfan1921 Yes, those are the scores I will be submitting. I just don’t want them to think that I am lying about my situation since I got a perfect score on the exam.

@skieurope It just seems like if they view the score together they’ll think I’m lying, which is not the case.

OP - This is a lot of angst and energy for a school with a super low acceptance rate. What’s done is done. Don’t waste any more time worrying about something that you no longer can control.

OP, first of all @momofsenior1 was not being rude to you, that is called being honest and realistic. Other posters have told you that the 800 in your native language was not the best choice of a subject test. Your 530 is going to definitely hurt you, it doesn’t matter if they think you are lying or not. It is still a 530. They aren’t going to say it’s okay or not that @hockey731 says he was sick. The simple fact is that they have many more applicants to chose from.

I think the others have commented accurately on the influence of the lower test scores.

I wanted to point out that you’ll still need to be taking math and science courses at MIT should you be accepted. The GIR’s still require a full year of math (calculus) and physics plus a semester each of bio and chem. All science classes cannot be fulfilled with just math classes.

Link to the registrar’s office with info on the General Institute Requirements is below. Going in thinking you won’t have to take any science classes will be a mistake.
