well, where I work 3% raise is standard. If you have an exceptional year you get 4%. Not sure why professors are a unique class that deserves radically elevated annual raisesā¦
still off topic regarding OPās claim we are turning into Russia.
Cost of living has gone up double digits in CA while raise was 3%. Many teachers in the state have found money to be a struggle. Not arguing the merit of pay or raises, I can see the arguments from both sidesā¦

yep I live in CA too (and my raise was 3%). Iām not saying they shouldnāt strike, just that a 3% raise is pretty standard and what most of us are living with. Not sure why they are any different
3%? Luxury! My typical annual raise was 0%
