PLTW is an organization that provides training and support fot stem programs. If yo google PLTw and SDSU it will come up. Some local high schools are part of the compact, one of the reasons we chose the school my kid went to. From my understanding they get in as long as they fullfill the minimum requirements. Among other things, a 3.0 and about 1200 on the SAT. My kid is not much above this.

@Red12Girl if you read the pact they changed the wording from guaranteed which it was a few yrs ago to preferred. My son did it and got in Monday for mechanical eng but he had a 3.86 and 1233

Either way I would recommend it to anyone. ME programs are tough to get into.

Daughter was accepted last night…3/22/2018 OOS Kinesiology GPA 4.0 ACT 25
She sent in a lot of requested documentation in February, admission page showed it was not received for the longest time. She did talk live to a rep a couple of times to get page updated. Admission page was updated 3/15/2022 and pending admission until 3/22/2018. Interesting roll out of admissions! Also accepted CSULB waitlisted CSULF

Not sure but it was late. She has been blowing up the portal checking. I think the last she checked was 6p.m.
Pacific time yesterday. This a.m. said admitted sometime after that since date was 3/22/2018. Hope this helps!
