SDSU vs Cal Poly SLO for Business? Open to suggestions

The CSU/UC scale is 5.0 but they only use 10-11th grades and not all HS designated Honors classes are recognized for the extra weighting. IB/AP and DE courses are given the extra weighting along with any UC approved Honors classes but with a cap of 8 semesters (4 year long classes)= Capped weighted

Fully weighted would be an unlimited # of extra honors points for these courses.

The UC’s have a Unweighted UC GPA, Capped weighted UC GPA (maximum 4.4) and a Fully Weighted UC GPA (maximum 5.0)

The Cal States only use the Capped weighted CSU/UC GPA with a maximum of 4.4.

Cal Poly SLO is the exception which uses 9-11th grades in their CSU GPA calculation, maximum 4.4 GPA and only 10-11th courses are weighted. They also use an MCA point calculation which did have a cap of 4.2 GPA but this may be outdated since the average of the College of Engineering last was over a 4.2.

You can look up your HS weighted classes (Yellow star next to the course) to determine the correct weighting here by typing in the name of your HS.
