moneyisimportant, the form was substantailly revised early in 2010, and has a lot more questions than the link you just provided. So that link is incorrect.

Not sure about Mamabear’s D, but these forms ask them to go back 10 years. My D is 20 years old, and cannot recreate her foreign travel schedule with countries and dates over the past 10 years without help from me and MY files. And she is abroad right now (as is mamabear’s D), so does not have easy access to paper records from her past employment, schooling, etc.

I’d recommend to anybody whose child is applying for security clearance to let them handle as much as possible on their own.

The reason why is that it’s a great learning experience and they are the ones ultimately who are applying for the clearance and will be held accountable to the data that is provided on the form. The person applying has ample resources on who to ask if they have questions. There is a security clearance officer that they can directly ask questions and who will provide “the correct” answer. A question such as “do I have to list all of my foreign Facebook friends” is best answered by the security clearance officer who has had detailed training in what needs to be included on the form.

I’d also be really careful about posting any information about a sibling or child’s security clearance in an online forum such as this. One of the first things that the person holding security clearance will be told is to not go around advertising your security clearance, including online forums and message boards. The same guideline applies to parents and siblings as well.

Hmm, mii, we have been edited
I am trying not to post too much info here, but there is frustratingly little info available at this point from those who are supposed to be providing it to her. And honestly, too many horror stories about interns who had to sit out their internships because their clearances were not processed in time in the past few years. I am not particularly trusting that the hiring agency will be on the ball enough to take care of it in a timely manner because of some of the stories I have heard. And, as usual, there are people out here who actually do know something about it (cuz cc parents know a little bit about everything) and have provided some helpful info.
