<p>I have to agree. In my day, I never recall having had people forced into a community they didn’t want to be in if they qualified for another they DID want to be in. I certainly hope that hasn’t changed.</p>
<p>If Navy sets up a new selection for Riverine Warfare (just for the argument), and some mids who might have selected USMC decide that RW is more to their liking, then RW is going to get them because of the Mids’ decisions. If USMC (or any other group) fails to make its desired quota, I doubt some folks will be thrown in to fill the gaps. That would be highly counterproductive, IMO.</p>
