@CHD2013, None were in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic or California (I think this is key). They were in the Southeast, Pacific Northwest and Midwest - imho, friendlier parts of the country. In the case of one LAC, my daughter emailed a question concerning their application on the Common App. The admissions director called her back. D was not expecting a phone call, so she didn’t answer (she didn’t recognize the area code). When D called back, they chatted for a few minutes, he answered her questions and then they set up an interview time.
That makes sense. I guess my perspective is, unfortunately, as a less friendly northeasterner
