<p>Don’t worry so much about the math and science on your schedule. My daughter was in a block schedule for her IB classes, meaning she only took 4 classes per day, and the class ran both semesters. So, due to the limitations in scheduling, and requirements of the IB program, she had no math classes her senior year. She had taken the IB/AP (AB) Calculus as a junior.</p>
<p>Also, she had only been able to take 1 year each of chemistry and physics (both honors, not AP, in her sophomore year). Her senior year she took AP/IB Biology, (which I understand isn’t as important to WP as the other 2 sciences) because it was the only science that fit in with her IB required classes.</p>
<p>She received her LOA in December, because, in my opinion she was an overall good candidate, because of her grades (she was in the top 10%, but not the top 5%), her test scores, her clubs, and her sports.</p>
<p>Concentrate on your grades, practice for the SAT and ACT, and continue your extracurriculars. When you write your essays, have your English teacher or guidance counselor check them over for errors. Go to all the meetings/open houses that your MOCs have, so they can put the name with a face and to show them that you are very interested - and always dress in business attire. And make sure you get all your paperwork done as soon as possible.</p>
