Basically for UCs:
- Lower division (frosh/soph level courses) non-UC credit is capped at 70 semester units, but all courses taken count for subject credit (e.g. fulfilling general education and major preparation requirements).
- Upper division (junior/senior level courses) and UC credit is added to the capped lower division credit to get total transferable credit.
- If you are a senior (the above total is 90 or more semester units) or (for some campuses) a high unit junior (threshold varies by campus, usually 80-89 semester units), then some campuses may not admit, or be less willing to admit.
You cannot have your college credit ignored; all college credit from all colleges attended must be included in your application.
