<p>I think WashU and Emory are about the same for everyone that just keeps mentioning WashU. As for the girl that says Elon half tuition at least you also wrote just in next to a bunch of schools worse than Elon. Elon gets harder and harder to get into every year and you have awesome stats but Elon is a good school so consider it. I had similar grades and I go to Elon and love it. It’s not all about the best you can get into.</p>
<p>For all those who never heard of UCF:</p>
<p>UCF is currently ranked in third tier listing of US News rankings (consider a large public university without medical school and established only in 1963). The College of Engineering and Computer Science (and all of its departments) is consistently ranked in the Top 100 engineering schools both in US and in the world rankings (source: Wikipedia, US News, ARWU). UCF also moved from Top 400 universities in the world to Top 300 for the year 2009 (ARWU, 2009). With the new medical school and the funding that it will attract, the rankings are only going to improve. UCF is also ranked in the Top 10 universities (out of some 122 universities considered in the nation) on the patent scorecard for the last three years ahead of universitis like Harvard (source: IPToday and IEEE patent score cards). It is also ranked as the 5th best and upcoming university in US (US News). It is the 3rd largest university in US with respect to enrollment (53000+) and has an average incoming freshman highschool GPA of 3.8. And their football team is not very good (if that matters).</p>

<p>Definatley considering Elon. At least three of my good friends are going and all should get into the Fellows program so it would be pretty fun, and the financial aid I’ll get is definatley consideration. Its my financial safety that I’ll actually end up attending more than likely =p. The fellows program coupled with the financial aid and small-town southern location definatley all interest me. As does the extensive study abroad program and business facilities given my intended majors.</p>

<p>Just wanted to add one thing, I got my results for my SAT IIs back, and I’m not necessarilly happy with them (as I have to send them to Rice). If you chance then could you tell me if these deserve sending to any of my schools if I don’t have to?

U.S. History - 630</p>
<p>For U.S. History I needed to take it in May. The honors class at my school is just AP with colonialism cut out, so we start at the War of 1812, but it just happened that this test had ALOT of information pre-1800, and even some of the stuff I should of known I’ve forgotten over the year. Had I taken this in May with even the slightest bit of studying I could have gotten in the high 700s. I also thought I should have done better on Literature and Math I for sure. Still, I don’t think 670s are low enough to completley derail my application, although the fact that I decided to take Math I and not Math II is probably going to hurt in the long run, no?</p>

<p>Those are the only colleges I know about, but from I have researched (Rice and WashU have been on my list of desirables) I honestly think these three colleges, which are GREAT schools, are good matches for you. I really don’t think they qualify as reaches for you, but you still may not have an automatic shot (no one usually does) but I would say you have good chances. Thanks for chancing me you have a lot of great advice, I wish I had as much for you but what I can say is that I honestly think you could get into these schools.</p>
<p>Yeah, I was wondering about those SAT II scores before I got to your most recent post. I’d agree, those aren’t too impressive, but they’re not terrible. I’d try to hide those where you can. Otherwise, your application looks pretty fantastic.</p>
<p>On a 1-10 scale, 1 meaning shoe-in, 10 meaning nothing more than a lottery’s chance, I’d say:</p>
