What time do the scores come out on Friday?
The rep we just spoke to said that they “randomly” pull 10% of tests for “quality assurance.” The quality assurance message to that effect when you press “view scores” means that the tester had the misfortune of being among that 10%. Rep was unapologetic and snippy and said the scores could come Friday but, really, anytime up until that November date. She said there will be no more scores released today. “We are done for the day.”
I know; still, delays happen. The people who work at ACT or SAT are not perfect and we should not expect them to be (case and point: the SAT 5-minute mess-up). Delay or no delay, there is still plenty of time for scores to come in for Early Action (Nov 1), and if not, then that is when the ACT has “goofed up,” so to speak.

Oops, 33 M not 33 N^
So get this, my niece got the same message about “quality assurance” (in NY). So my sister, who didn’t realize that lots of people are getting this message, called the ACT people to make sure it wasn’t an issue with my niece specifically (like they thought she cheated or something - because that’s how that note makes it sound!) The rep told her that since my niece had taken the test with Writing, that her score wouldn’t be out for two more weeks because the ACT isn’t publishing any scores of kids without the writing piece and never has. My sister tried to tell the rep that the scores always come out without the Writing piece but the rep wasn’t having any of it and apparently got pissy.
It’s really a shame that there is no monitoring or control over this organization.

@Valdog Honestly, all ACT reps seem to be rude. They don’t help at all.
@LordBendtner It definitely depends on which school you apply to, many school will superscore the ACT–WashU, Stanford, if you’re considering those kinds of schools…

Almost exactly the same as last two practices in the red book. Scores were not there this morning but were there when I just checked at lunch. Excited, improved from a 29C in March.
Finally got my scores (NY)!!!

I just barely made a 34 (33.5)!!
Lol, I’m pretty happy with the score. I was actually really sick the day of the test. I had a big headache throughout the whole thing. It got so bad that at the end during the essay my eyes started getting blurry and I could barely read the text on the page for the intro (I thought I was going to pass out!). And after the test I threw up twice in the car, paired with literally the worst migraine I’ve ever experienced in my life.
By far the worst test experience ever. Haha, I thought this type of stuff only happened in movies.
