***SEPTEMBER 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

@Qwerty258 oh no…what about the others?

do scores come out later for people who took it with writing? I live chatted the ACT and that person said that the score comes out after they’ve graded the writing which doesn’t make sense because the writing score comes out a week or 2 after the mc score comes out

@abc123ggg He might be referring to the score report. Multiple choice scores can come out at any time (I took it with writing and I got my scores yesterday), but the SCORE REPORT does not come until the writing score is out. Meaning, colleges will not see your scores and the ACT will not even e-mail you until the writing scores are out.

If I’m applying early action how early do I have to send my scores? I don’t have them yet and based on what others have said about the “quality assurance” thing I probably won’t get them until writing scores come out (1-2 weeks). If I send them lets says 2 weeks before 11/1 is that too late?

I have resigned to the fact that my scores will never come out

@richardshaw 6 to 14 more hours hopefully!

Composite: 30
English:28
Math:31
Reading:27
Science:34

did you get your scores today? @RoadtotheIvies98

BrownYaar55 Are you just pretending to be unaware of the fact that you just attained a near-perfect score? All it takes is glance at a percentile chart or a quick search online to know whether or not you have, by your own standards, done well enough on the test. Do you want a 36 or something?

got that Stupid quality assurance message yesterday… First wondering what I messed up but then realized that No one that I know from my testing center has gotten them and they have all gotten the quality assurance check and I’m wondering if its more then just a coincidence… Can anyone maybe elaborate on a possible issue? Possible score release date? I highly doubt tomorrow

Have a quick question for you guys. Is it a sleezy move/lying to have the ACT delete a test date record in order to ensure that colleges don’t see it? Like if a school you’re applying to asks for every test score you have, and you have a few poor ACT scores so you have ACT delete them to avoid having colleges see them, is that unfair/cheap?

First of all its not sleazy at all, and secondly colleges do enough of their own sleazy actions, so do whatever you want.

Has anyone here received their writing score yet?

I haven’t

I’ve had that message since last Friday and have heard different things from different reps at the ACT. The ‘supervisor’ said that a certain number of tests are randomly assigned to quality assurance and there is not necessarily a problem with them, it is just a random spot check. But it is annoying, especially b/c when you log in, it says View Scores, and then you get the sorry you can’t view them message.

Guys, I received my multiple choice scores on wednesday and got:

Composite - 33
English - 35
Math - 31
Reading - 34
Science - 30

Are these good enough for Cornell and Princeton?

@wisteria100 While that may be true that a certain number are randomly assigned, I don’t believe that everyone who got that is just randomly assigned because everyone I know from my test center has gotten it and that doesn’t feel random to me… It’s just really stupid that they do have the button, I agree. I’d rather stay registered then be teased like that

@jmcc2016 maybe its randomly by test center?

@Salutation at princeton the average act score is 33 and 32 at cornell

i swear to god if my score doesn’t come by 8am tomorrow…
