***SEPTEMBER 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

@Salutation senior here! First and last time :stuck_out_tongue:

@basedchem 2nd and last here.

what score do u expect?

@Salutation trying not to jinx myself, but at most, 34. At least 31. I already have a 2210 SAT that i’m retaking anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

You have great scores, why are you retaking, unless you are applying to ivy leagues. Are you?

@Salutation only applying to one ivy: cornell. Unfortunately, my GPA is a bit lackluster, so I’m using other things to cover myself :stuck_out_tongue:

@basedchem Ah I see, good luck anyways!

I hope scores come out on the 22nd. The first batch has always been released 10 days after the exam.

yeah I hope so too, but with the changed tests and all, I don’t think we can wish for that aww

@blargenshmargen I took the June ACT… I’m pretty sure I did worse this time around too.

All I’m praying for is a higher English score than my previous one since the college I want to go to super scores for ACT Math + English. ;-;

It could be 12:01 am or 8 am

people keep saying that scores on the 22nd are possible; is this true?

I contacted the ACT, and they said scores are not coming out any earlier than September 25th. I asked them why they are coming out later, and she said that the scores always come out in a similar timeframe.

Very bizarre

Doesn’t ACT score it completely based on their bell curve? For example, the top 1% scores on every math test will be 33+. And if only 1% got 56/50 or better, that would mean 56 would definitely be a 33? So the curve is determined by an exact science, not just how ACT “decides” to curve it. I’m just curious if this is actually how it is done, because some people in this thread have made it sound like the curve is subjective.

The curve is predetermined by a test group

So basically, we are all doomed

Hopefully, that test group was not composed of College Confidentialers…

The curve is definitely going to be

60-36

man this math is gonna kill me!!!

@rjp456 Wait, who comprises the test group? Is it a selected group of high schoolers or just adults who work for the ACT?
