***September 2016 ACT Discussion Thread***

congrats @nutmeg_shippy – happy for you!

I checked this morning for my D at 7 EDT and still registered but she checked about an hour ago and got her scores finally. She’s very happy - no issue with the Science.

Does the ACT eventually post a detailed report like the SAT? My D got a 35 Math and I wonder if it’s 1 or 2 misses. She said after the test there were 2 questions she wasn’t 100% sure about and had to make educated guesses. I remember on some of her practices you could still get a 36 with 1 miss.

No scores yet at 9:40 EST. So I guess the next date is Wed Sept 28th? Anyone think any more will go up today? My account STILL says “print tix”.

@Dolemite They sort of do. However, I do not think it is as detailed as the SATs. They give you a detailed score report, but they break it down by general topics on each section. For instance, on the math, they give subtopics like Pre-Algebra and etc. and then give you a score for that/

Just got off phone with friend in Carolinas. Daughter checked scores at 8:30 EST(does not remember registration
status) - all 36’s except Science - 31. She was scoring 34 and above on science while practicing. She felt great about the science section after taking September ACT.

Still “registered” in CA…

Finally an improvement in terms of ACT score…

English - 30
Math - 29
Reading - 29
Science - 22

Composite: 28

For some reason, this concords to the same SAT scores I got (redesigned and new).

Still Registered here in VA! Bummer. Got to wait till Wednesday now??? Painful

Got my scores and I’m from Florida
C-28
E-27
M-24
R-33
S-29
Math was hard for me this time and you can tell lol

Asking again: Did anyone who received accommodations get their scores yet? Mine didn’t. I know I’ve been told on this list that those scores are always delayed, which appears to be the case at least from our perspective! When I called I was told they (tests with accommodations) are scored along with the others, and that if they are not in the first batch they will be in a later one–and that scores from now on would be released on Wednesdays and Fridays. We are basing some decisions on these test scores and it’s a disappointment not to have them; my older daughter did not experience any kind of a delay with her scores so we hadn’t planned for this. We’ll be patient.

omg, my score went up from 31 to 34, i was so happy it may have been the most emotion i’ve shown all year :))

just to add my scores were released around 9 am today, and i don’t think my status changed to “tested” before, it said registered last night
(and then changed to tested today)

We are in Louisiana and my daughter is also confused by a low Science score. Her scores were:
E-35
M-30
R-33
S-24
She studied the most for Science and scored anywhere from a 31 to 34 on practice science tests. She felt like she did really well, so it doesn’t make sense for her score to be so low.

just got text…my daughter knows someone at her school who also tested with accommodations and she got her score.

My scores still say Registered in Florida… The funny thing is that everyone except for those who took it at my exact test center received their scores. What’s even more ironic is that ACT switched my testing location. :frowning:

I went from a 27 to a 32!!! Finally over 30! Should I take one more time and try to go for a 34??

English - 36
Math - 29… :frowning:
Reading - 31
Science - 31

My daughter’s ACT writing scores were posted today, if anybody is waiting for them.

Congrats to all those getting scores - that’s great. For the rest of us, the waiting saga continues…at least until Wednesday if I understand ACT’s schedule correctly.

Got my scores today, too. A little disappointed because I was hoping for 1-2 points higher but it is what it is
C- 27
Math-26 (I really thought I got at least a 30 on this :’( )
Science-23 (this was expected, I hate the science section oops)
Reading- 29
English-30

The math part is really really disappointing because I’m applying for engineering. I’m really good at math but something about these standardized tests… ugh :-S On the ACT website where it says “do you meet college readiness for STEM” it says “No.” so that’s concerning. Thankfully my grades in school for math (and everything, really) make up for it I suppose
