Micro, you have a 30 if superscored, and no big swings in your subscores (math and science) that are below 30, so you should send both to colleges that superscore. And you have to wait for your writing to be posted before the scores will be sent by ACT. You are allowed to go ahead and order the scores to be sent, but they will not send until the writing is there – so why not wait until you see what it is before you send the scores… But I think most of the writing scores post more quickly that the quoted 2 weeks.
@lakeviking Do you think that if we get a 36 ACT, but our writing score is low, is that gonna be a big deal or a problem? Or not?
Hi all! I got my scores this Friday and got a lower than usual score in science. After reading through this thread, I learned many others also got lower scores in science and are paying a little extra to get their test regraded. Where can I view details on the option of getting my test regraded and how much will it cost me? I got 24 on science and in all my practice tests I get 29/ 30. While I know that I might score a little lower on the real test, I don’t think I did that bad. Thanks!
@polkadots233 Check out this link http://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/the-act/your-scores.html and the section ‘Score Verification Service’. it takes about 5 weeks and costs $50 just for multiple choice. Good luck!
ThatSpellingGuy – I don’t think you would have any big worries with a 36 ACT composite score (but I’m no expert on the most elite institutions); my point is simply why not wait another week or so, to have a look at the writing score, before ordering the ACT scores to be sent. What if the writing score was bizarrely low? Since it is not even October yet, I see no reason to order the sending of an ACT score before the writing score is posted, which apparently can not be reversed once the sending is ordered, when the writing score will likely be posted in a few more days.

Some writing scores have been posted already. My D got hers last week.
Not always the case. The boy with accommodations at our school received his scores in the first release!
