Please get back to the original topic of traveling internationally and related concerns. TIA.
Travel expenses are l likely to creep up a bit over time. But I’ve found that planning international trips has a bit extra stress factor with TBD exchange rates. The last time we booked a Viking river cruise, we deferred booking before/after travels. When/if we do another, I’ll considered booking hotels right away (esp if there is good cancellation policy).
One of my kids is just back from a business trip to Europe. He said on both flights the economy section had rows of empty seats. Business and premium economy were full. On the way over he said that he was able to hang out in economy with his crawling child and they were able to sleep together in an entire row.
Also talked with a friend who has good friends traveling in Europe. They cleared their phones of photos from marches and other political activity. Their child who works in an industry with knowledge advised them to do so since they have a Hispanic surname.
Sounds like a very good idea.
When I flew to Spain recently, lots of empty seats. Had a whole row to myself on the way back.
My sister just returned from Ireland and she said the people were very nice to them even though they are Americans.
