<p>16th and Kilbourn Avenue was dark (not very well lit) and not a place I would have been alone in the early 70s when I was at MU. I think the overall campus area is actually far safer now than when I was in school. Exercising good judgment when out and about at night should be the mantra for anyone attending an urban school from Rutgers, Yale, Wash U to Marquette.</p>
