<p>Just one more wind/bad breath story. This is urban mythology. There is NO WAY football “makes” $$ at USNA or any of the other SAs. That is pure urban mythology for institutions like this. Mombee conveniently dismisses the cost of educating these athletes, a great many of whom would not be at USNA, were they not recruited athletes. And let’s not forget the NAPS bill, too. Again, a silly mombeeian claim with zero facts or data to back it up. Gotta wonder if he’s getting his economic and financial data from the same source proclaiming that our dandy healthcare program will cost the taxpayers LESS! Uh huh.:eek:</p>
<p>And for sure …the Glee Club doesn’t exist at the pleasure and mercy of any surplus revenue from football.</p>
<p>Now, having exposed this alleged “fact”, be sure I am NOT advocating elimination or diminishment of football. I enjoy the games and being part of a winner as much as the next pig. And it’s always great beating Army …year after year after year. Right JAM?
