You can still apply to the UHouston’s Honors College (if you have not applied to UH, do so using your Applytexas app and check the Honors box). Use your BEST literary analysis paper from an Honors English, AP Lit, or DE English class (not just a random A paper, but a paper that your teacher felt was especially good). It is a very good honors college.

You would really like to be part of the Honors College and would like to know if you have a chance even if your freshman year grades put you outside the top 10% of your high school class. And if you’re allowed to apply, is it too late for a scholarship (as you’re low income, anything would help you in being abe to attend college, if eligible).
