should I take pre-med classes at cc OR UC?

Note that most of the pre-med sciences are typically offered in year sequences (e.g. year of general chemistry, year of organic chemistry, year of general biology, year of physics). Because most CCs are semester system, and most UCs are quarter system (other than UCB and UCM), it would be best if each year sequence were taken entirely at one school or the other, since the courses that are parts of the sequence may not be divided in the same places at the CC and UC.

You can use http://www.assist.org to look up which CC courses are considered suitable for biology majors at the UCs you are targeting, since those courses are typically the ones that pre-meds take.
