Stop talking if you don’t know what you’re talking about people…
It makes others confused. Since he’s in the class of 2010, he can send individual SAT test dates, instead of having to send every single one. There is no way that colleges will know how many he has taken, as long as he doesn’t specify a college during the registration process. Just take as many as you want. Taking more than 1 every 2-3 months is excessive and a waste of money, while showing little to no improvement.

You guys should be aware however that particular colleges may decide to require ALL scores. It isn’t clear yet whether this would be done on a trust basis or if the CB would have this info in a database. I would think that the latter would be more likely.

Colleges cannot choose to require all scores to be sent. First off, there is a fee associated with sending each score report and sending all of them is very expensive. And most colleges only look at the highest scores either way. CB has created this service so students CAN take their tests many times with no consequences, all so they can make more money. They wouldn’t put in some information about the number of tests taken because they would defeat the purpose and they would not be able to make their money.

I don’t think it is clear as to the role of the colleges. Please post a reference or URL confirming your statement.

Here is the quote from the CB:

(from [New SAT Scoring Policy](Send SAT Scores to Colleges - SAT Suite | College Board))

Take it NO more than twice a year.
In between actual SAT test dates, take practice tests to see if you are improving.
