The answers to your questions all depend on which College House you are talking about. There’s no general rule. Usually, though, singles are not in a floor of all singles. Floors have many different types of rooms, including singles, doubles, triples and quads. In the high rises, for example, there are three-bedroom triples, or three-bedroom quads. The former are more expensive because each person gets his/her own room. Singles in a high rise are even more expensive and is not the regular room to expect. On the other hand, I had a single at Hill freshman year. It is just a little more expensive than doubles at Hill, and it was reasonably good. I really can’t imagine my freshman year at Hill without having my single.
