Sinner's Alley Happy Hour (Part 1)

I LOVE the pink. Makes me think of Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2. I used to call my kids Thing 1 and Thing 2 on occasion…

Mathmom,

We’ve got love for you and we don’t want you to forever be known as being famous for the 6969

When I looked at the screen I thought I was seeing spots . I thought to myself that I have been here way to long. Then I realized they were tiny bubbles. If you could hear me snort and sniffle, you would think that too many of these bubbles have gone up my nose.

now off to put a load of clothes in the wash!

Hey, what’d I miss? :)

I just lost my post, again. This is because I’m back in Nevady, and whenever I’m here, my IQ drops 50 points as soon as I enter the state. I’m pretty sure that I didn’t do anything to lose the CC window. I was just navigating --Oo, too big a word-- I mean, sorting through the twelve windows I had open on my screen, and my trusty iBook got confused and sent my post far, far away.

To be continued…I’m going to go take a multivitamin.

oh yes we do ;)

I thought the champagne bubbles were cute!

Congrats,

Mootieson!!!

::::more bubbly for Mootiemom & Mootiedad:::: :slight_smile: :wink: :stuck_out_tongue: :slight_smile: :smiley: :)

¡Felíz cumpleaños!

Jmmom   :stuck_out_tongue:  :D

If any of you parents want to do something cool, go here: david-heron.me.uk. You’ll need to wear headphones, and you should close your eyes when you do it. It’s pretty awesome.

I have to write 37 pages in the next week to finish my finals on time (), so of course I’m finding new and exciting methods of procrastination. :)

corranged-
The link doesn’t work. Says the site is temporarily unavailable… :(

oh-- now it works… But oops, I took my headphones into work. Well, maybe later.

I think the site is overloaded from an abundance of college students invading the site. :)

Rescued from Page 2 oblivion…

If anybody wants me, I’ll be in the jacuzzi with a cold bottle of Chardonnay. I spent Memorial Day weekend in Pioche, Nevada, getting attacked by desert foxtails and a swarm of no-see-ums. I stayed in a cabin in the back of a gas station parking lot, and somehow, I picked up the nickname, “Chicken.” I’ll explain later.

Chard…jacuzzi…you know where to find me. :p

Boy could I join you. I have had the same job now for four years, the longest I EVER had the same job, except that of being the mom. And the kids change a lot more in four years than this stuff. Tell us some stories slugg- it might keep me at my desk for another year:). Either slugg stories or chardonnay. Although, I admit, I’m a red wine gal. What would be a really really great bottle?

Bumping up to toast MOWC’s D’s engagement!

Ah, some good news for a change! Congratulations to MOWC’s D & SIL-to-be!

Every so often I wonder about my 2 college boys. They have only brought home 1 GF each and I keep thinking, “they are young, they’ll probably have others, nothing to worry about yet…”

But my D got married to her college sweetheart–he was the only one she ever brought home and that was it. So in reality, I could have already met my future DILs! Ack!

(They’re lovely girls, I just can’t deal.)

mommusic, it happens! I married the boy I met in October of my freshman year of college!~

My 18 year old D, a rising junior in college, told me her classmate got married this weekend out west and she was invited to the wedding! Wow. Oy…not ready for that.

I am so glad the CONGRATS moved here for MOWC!! I would love to hear slugg stories!!!

soozievt–come to think of it, my DH married me after we were together through 4 of his 5 years of college (I was two years older.) Must run in the family! :)

Yes, it’s a little scary when you start hearing about the classmates getting engaged.

can anyone find the thread-- it was called something like “did you meet your spouse in college”. From maybe 2 yrs ago??
My s has been datign his gf for 2 yrs. Met the summer after his freshman yr. Very different from me (and life in the 70’s). Serious dating wasn’t on our “A” list back then. I met my H when I was 30!

Okay, I did it. I have driven a minivan, or an SUV for the last 16 years. I just drove out of a car dealership with a Pontiac GT. It felt wonderful. Bye, bye to the SUV. My younger is son is not happy, b/c I can only taxi him with 3 friends at one time now. My other car held 5 friends plus the 2 of us. I am going to be less of a taxi driver now (hopefully). My older son appreciates our new car.

I don’t know - a good many of my friends (not all by any means) are married to their college partners.
