Haha! I swear I didn’t even notice the numbers. But it’s like 2000 and 2001. BOTH are pretty cool. :)

And some day we’ll look back at the days when the numbers were only 4 digits…

I convinced the W that gray is a state of mind. She stopped coloring her hair, I never started on mine, although I know many men who have/do.

A friend of mine just turned fifty and is leaving his current job after fifty years. He is referring to his as “rewirement.”

Fifty still sounds old to me, and will until I cross that great devide in three years. Then “old” pushes back ten years…

Slugg, take P2Ns recommendation and go with the Harley (new trophy husband optional)

m&sdad–What, turning 50 and leaving a job of 50 years? What is he, a robot? “Rewirement” sounds suspicious to me. :D

Correction: leaving after 30 years.

Memory is the first to go…

^^^ LOL
C’mon over here, sonny, and be with the old folks!

:D

Have you guys seen Superbad?

^^McLoved it.

My naturally streaky dark blonde (light brown?) hair has one and only one small shot of grey in it. About a year ago I started highlighting my hair, just a notch, so the grey would get lost in the lighter tones and hopefully mimic “ash”. So far, so good.

Did a whole body-&-closet midlife makeover (lots of exercize, nothing surgical) and now can fit into my 20 year old D’s clothes.

My memory, on the other hand, is crap…

Tomorrow is slugg’s birthday. Hmmm.

Hmm.

Hmm.

What can we do to celebrate?

Happy (early) birthday, sluggbugg! :)

It’s all downhill from here…um, I mean it’ll always be better!

Hmmm, indeed. How about * All-Slugg-All-The-Time*. That would be good. That would be very good.

Of course, that either means she has to sit at the keyboard all birthday long (not bloody likely) or that the rest of us need to get cracking on “Best of…”

heads off to find at least one entry; the rest of you guys, you’d better do the same

m&sdad:

No, they say actually memory is the 2nd thing to go.

I forget the first thing…

OK, a special version of Happy Birthday for Sluggy:

“Happy Birthday to you,
Second Life is a Zoo.
Come back to the Alley,
Where the marmots are true.”

Celebrate? Dearly beloved, SURELY you know that tomorrow is [International Talk Like a Pirate Day](<a href=“International Talk Like A Pirate Day – Sept. 19, every year since 2002”>www.talklikeapirate.com/piratehome.html)!

'nuff said!!

OK. After 20 minutes of in-depth research (don’t ya love time stamps on posts?), I have found my contibrution to tomorrow’s “Best of Slugg.”

Dibs on #3957 (no fair peeking either; I’ll post it here tomorrow).

Party hats optional? What time do we start?

jmmom, great minds think alike. BEST OF SLUGG was just my concept. I dibs a$$land. Hope that isn’t 3957?

Don’t think so, SB.

And don’t think I’ll make it to midnight tonight. So, tomorrow, after I perform a couple of revenue-producing activities* in the A.M.

even tho she’s the oldest, jmmom is still not retired; and (all together now) jmmom still *looks young)

and acts like a youngster too…

How could I forget TLAP Day? It’s also S#1’s birthday and every year we toast both happy occasions. My excuse: I got distracted by slugg’s B-day!

Best of slugg. I’m in!!!

It’s early yet. Or it would be, if it weren’t Slugg bday, mommusicS#1 bday and TLAP Day. Seeing as it is everyone of those (and more, but how would I remember, I’m the oldest :p)… it’s not too early for a libation in SA. I’ll leave the libation decision to others, but herewith:

Toast Numero Uno: Best of Slugg #3957

now I will engage in some revenue-producing activities

Classic Slugg! As Dear Abby used to say, “Thanks for a dandy day-brightener!” :)
