Sit for the SAT?

Hi everyone, I’m an international student from Hong Kong. I’ve taken the ACT for 2 times before, but have never tried taking the SAT.

I know SAT is more prevalent on the coasts, and ACT is more popular in Mid-west (though Stanford claims that they look both tests equally). As I am going to apply for Stanford, I wanna get some comments for whether I should take the SAT in the future.

My ACT scores are:

English: 28
Math: 36
Reading: 27
Science: 35
Writing: 9
Composite (superscored): 32
Highest composite on the same test date: 30

Regarding to my current ACT scores, I would like to know if I need to take the SAT in the future (well, are my ACT scores sufficient for Stanford?). Thanks for your opinions!

If you do not do something, you will forever regret it!

You scored high on many portions of the ACT, so why not try the SAT?! Since this is a Stanford thread, I would say that Stanford would like to see ones SAT results, but not necessary.

Your reading and writing scores are low compared to your math and science. Is English a second language? If so, then you should take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), as well.
