<p>TMC is the Tufts Mountain Club. It is one of the bigger clubs on campus. They manage the Loj and at least one minivan (I think there is more than one). The pre-orientations are organized around areas of interest - you pick one that sounds like the most fun to you, so you get a jump-start on building friendships with people with similar interests -before you have to start worrying about classes. It is sort of like a summer camp. TMC will periodically organize events in the urban forest, for which they would use the minivan. Otherwise, you can bike or drive. </p>

I believe it is heated by woodstove (based on pictures)
It is open for the entire school year, except when there are special functions (I do not know if it is open over the summer)
It is owned by Tufts
Individuals and groups go there, I do not know about courses</p>
