Sleep study?

At the sleep lab that my insurance uses the patient is given sleeping pills or uses what they typically use at home. During the first sleep study I had one year ago the tech told me to take a lower dose than I was use to as the dose recommendation had been lowered. I did not sleep even long enough to get a reading (even after I feigned needing the bathroom and took more). Recently I had a 2nd study and had H drive me and took a mega dose and did sleep about 6 hours with one waking. The only info my nice tech shared is that he had to push the oxygen a few times. I should get my study results soon. They are looking for Rera. The nasal pillow was OK.

If I do need to use one it will help me stay asleep but it will not fix the issue that I do not fall asleep without meds and also that I do not feel tired at any normal bedtime and not really during the day. I do not like the feeling in my head as the meds truly wear off but my body is not really tired and I rarely nap.

I do think there is a lot of new cutting information in this field and have enjoyed the informative posts here.

Did you try TV? My best aid and no side effects. But I do not have problem falling asleep (maybe because I always use TV?), I just sleep very short time, which works just fine, I am never tired, unless I sleep for 3 hours several nights in a row, which is still OK except for the meetings.
