Small Neuroscience Research Schools

Lehigh is about $80,000 a year. I would use the net price calculator with your family to see if you would qualify for FA (note: it is not always accurate, depending on your circumstances). They can tell you if the cost is ok.

I would give the same advice for Vanderbilt, Northwestern, etc. (some of these schools have competitive merit).

I would keep Pitt. Even though it is bigger than you want, it is an excellent school and less costly than some of the others (before aid).

Yeah, with the additional information, although Pitt is still too big, it is otherwise just such a solid option–unless I am missing one, it is much more likely than any smaller college with a close to comparable Neuroscience program, in a city, seemingly within budget at full rate and with a possibility of merit . . . . Pitt doesn’t have to be at the top of OP’s list, but it does seem like it should be a strong possibility to be on the list somewhere.

I think the student is learning about cost and needs that discussion with the fam as well as learning about need aid - if it’s a possibility.

If not, the Vassars and Midds of the world may be out.
