If I was going to go that route, I’d add the Naval Academy too.
My friend’s son swims for Caltech. According to him, the team does not offer any sense of family and no socializing outside of practice or meets. My kid is on the CMS (Harvey Mudd) squad and teammates are everything. Your son can always do an overnight to see where he feels the most comfortable.
Thanks for that info. Mudd is on our list and hope to visit him there soon. I don’t see him going to a service academy, though that would be awesome.
I agree with this suggestion, especially the honors program at the Prescott campus. Great AeroE program, tight-knit campus community, amazing location.
New Mexico Tech is another good suggestion.
I don’t know much about their swim programs (they have a swim club), but Embry Riddle would be a great academic fit and offers merit. There are 2 campuses - one in AZ and the other in FL.
