Hi! Iām a Smithie (Smith Alumn) just stalking this page while posting my sonās results and watching others at the colleges to which he applied. Congratulations to those accepted (and waitlisted!!). Smith is amazing. I have never regretted my decision to attend there one day in my life. Incredible campus, town, valley, professors, classes, traditions and peers. I was doubtful before I arrived but I LOVED it. My younger sister even added it to her list and became a Smithie as well. Again congratulations and I hope you make Smith your new home for the next for years. You will not regret it. 
How do we find the financial aid? She is having trouble with the portal.

Not a lot of APs offered at her HS and it doesnāt have high pass rates. She got 4s and 5s on the 4 AP tests she took.
My financial aid package still wonāt show up on net partner. Very frustrating because tuition costs are my main deciding factor at this point.

I attend a competitive public arts school with a focus in creative writing, and Iāve been pretty successful there (published in literary magazine 5 times, won best poet award)
LOR 1: 10/10, really close with this teacher and have had him for all of high school
LOR 2: 7/10, good but not amazing
ECs are interning for my local congressman, volunteering at a local womenās shelter, and running several creative writing classes for middle school students (those are the most prevalent)
I donāt know if Iām going to end up here but itās definitely up there!! Good luck to everyone on the waitlist, and congrats to everyone who got in!

I really think EC, essays, recommendations plus portfolios did the trick. She is also accepted to Swarthmore, Amherst, Kenyon, Hamilton. Pretty psyched!
