<p>Will airlines refund the difference…or even credit the difference if the price drops? I thought it was totally “non-refundable” (after the 24 hour period). If they do refund…then I’d gladly keep watching to see if they go down again. If not, I’d rather not know once they’re purchased. Anyone have luck with obtaining a credit (other than Southwest)?</p>
<p>^^No. But DH who keeps an elite status with one airline can change or cancel his reservations without penalties. Soon I shall see if this can be done for both of us booked on the same flight.</p>
<p>Nope. Alaska charged me $75 to change my ticket ($0 for DH), and the price went up a bit. :(</p>

Orbitz claims that if another Orbitz user books your flight at a lower price, they’ll give you the difference. Don’t know if it’s every really happened, though.</p>
<p>toledo same thing happened to me when i was checking fare using 1 person it was much lower than when i put in 4. you were braver than me though, i bit the bullet and paid the price quoted for 4.</p>
