I hear from folks who went on vacation to warmer places last week and were not happy that it was cooler than usual there…
Things are better in my neighborhood today, I got out pretty easily to a main street and got to work in Bellevue. I’d say about one third of our staff was in today, expecting most in tomorrow. When I got home there had been quite a bit of melting, and our guy had completely cleared our walkway and driveways. Still snow in our street, but the two tracks up the middle are showing down to pavement.
Same here. The office was back to normal today. Even my boss who likes to work from home showed up!
The city still kept the “road closed” sign on our street, but the residents ignore it. Hope it melts enough so HD can deliver the stupid bricks we bought 5 weeks ago!
Parking lot at the office was finally passable yesterday for most cars. I finally made it in after 3 weeks out to find a fedex package sitting on my desk that had been there for 3 weeks!
I work from home a lot but still it was funny. 1 week of vacation, 2 weeks fully at home as on days I could have gone in my H took my car as is is low clearance (Weds/Thurs).
Still some on the ground but significantly improved and mom’s house looks like the trees didn’t do any damage. Amazingly not one of my family in various parts of the city, lost power or got stuck.
However for 2nd semester S19 had ONE day of school this week, at a two hour delay (which was silly) and 3 partial days the week before. Or really, zero learning activity for 2 weeks and now it’s mid winter break. I am glad he is a senior and already accepted/enrolled. Transcripts still aren’t out and this really hurts the AP study prep.
Still short an Amazon delivery.
Our garbage collector just showed up! =D>
Our regular pickup day is Monday!! Which is a holiday. I hope they show up!!!
An enterprising young man,
Good for him.
I am sure my neighbors would have rather paid $1000 to have the road plowed than dealing with a totaled car. Smart kid.
Next time they can look for him on Craigslist.
