o well I guess I had better vote for him based on the strength of your conviction

more importantly, though: does anyone have any other ideas? I could run with this RP thing, but I need to write two articles.

I know that Ron Pauls plans are much better than what the CFR-scum has planned for us…

ya, so, moving on

the good and bad on ron paul? or maybe 1 article describing yourself and your views and another of your choice?

Why are we abolishing all these things? Because this country needs change, in every almost every aspect:

Education: Are we better off today than, say, 1960? No, we’re still ranked 28th in the World, …even under Spain. What has the Education Department done for US? What has it done for the class of 2010, the class of 2011, and the future class of 2012? Has our tuition gone down? The ONLY good thing that has been changed, is, sadly, the difficulty level of the SATs. Lets change the entire system and see what happens for the next 4 years. If **** happens, then we’ll revert it back.

Economy: Are your parents better off than they were 5-10 years ago? With the housing bubble 3 years ago, everyone thinks they’re suddenly millionaries. Well, truth is, the Fed is going to turn this entire economy around sometime soon. The economy will suddenly go down within the next year or so, and housing prices and everything else will plummet. We should (not necessarily abolish the Fed), but definitely revolutionize the system. If that doesn’t work, you can bring the old system back after 4 years.

dont forget that any political or opinionated article you write will be refuted if warranted ^__^

an article about myself and my views sounds a little self-indulgent; I’m not sure if anyone would really care

I want to write something that people will have fun reading

*lol, idk about “refuted;” maybe “contested”

uh

When something’s wrong, you change it.

urrite wave! 10char

worthless conjecture – based on what evidence? source? for every end-is-near economic pessimist I’m sure I can find an expert whose outlook is conversely hopeful

“bring[ing] the old system back” won’t magically pull our economy out of a tailspin

seriously tho, dudes, that isn’t what this thread is about. I’d appreciate some more feedback.

Retaining the current system won’t magically change our economy for the better, either.

Based on insider knowledge. My parents work for major financial firms. They’re all closely waiting for the day the stock market plummets. It’s part of a cycle, and they’re closely watching this cycle. Once the economy plummets, they will invest while prices are low, and then (as part of the cycle), the economy will shoot back up again, and the investments will be worth more. With the current policies, the cycle will continue, unless you change the system for the better. Most people remain uninformed, and thus, will lose money. However, the financial ****ers like us, will come out richer than before. It’s what happens. If you want to help the poor, then you HAVE to change the current system.

If you want more information, you can PM me, and I’ll hook your parents up with some finance gurus (for a little fee) and they can receive top-notch financial consulting and learn how to best manage their portfolio. Courtesy of Wachovia, Goldman Sachs, and Freddie Mac. [Do it please. I get commission from this too]

So that was my last few cents. Lets bring his original thread back now.

wave you are so right…i just hate how these democrats think that their party will save the USA…when in fact their agenda is not unlike their counterparts…

kool dude but that’s not what we’re talking about

I don’t know if that was directed at me or not, but in any case, I don’t think that this is a good place to start off the year. I know who you are, and I believe you know who I am as well, so lets all just forget about this, since we all have our own beliefs and opinions. Only 6 days left and this is not a good way to start. What do you say, lets all forget this sh it.

He sucks, just like every single other presidential candidate for '08…With our sluggish economy, erratic markets, poor worldwide esteem, and dishonest/awful government, this is just adding to how completely ****ed our country is.

No one in their right mind would ever want to be president of the United States. It’s a no-win situation. Each candidate is just doing what he/she has to to get elected, because each is too foolish to realize how idiotic their so-called “policies” are. Too bad the American people are too dumb to know the difference.

that wasn’t directed towards you

wasn’t trying to be overtly hostile, either – see edit – but rather trying to steer the conversation back onto the topic of article ideas

clearly, tho, a cage match is in order
