so cal e-quake 4.4!

It lookes like that here in NJ , but not from an earthquake

My sister sent me an e-mail this morning and said it bounced her awake around 4 AM and that she was close to the epicenter. She looked around to make sure nothing would fall on her head and went back to sleep for another hour or so. Such a true Californian!

My D is a Trojan, and has not felt an earthquake yet. She didn’t feel this one either - it’s spring break week at USC, so she and most of the students are off campus. Timing is everything.

The I-5 pothole was there before the e-quake. It was put on the news, since they were grabbing at straws for SOMETHING to report.

This one woke up my D who had a tough final today and she had little enough sleep as it is due to studying for the final so it was a pain for her.

I didn’t feel it - but my skylight cover - that was in the locked position - opened up. I have no idea how. Very weird.

The Sylmar earthquake in 70 (or was it 71) rolled my bed across the hardwood floor. That was a real shaker.

The night of the Northridge earthquake I woke up at 1 am and moved a dresser away from my son’s bed. My husband thought I was a crackpot (perhaps I am) - but thought of me as more witch-like three hours later when the big quake jolted us all out of bed. Scared the crap out of all of us. That was a biggie.

I like to give Earthquake backpacks to friends and family for Christmas and housewarming gifts. Solar/hand-crank radio, nutrition bars, can opener, some canned tuna, sterno, matches, gas turn off wrench, propane camp stove and a bottle of propane, etc. It’s good to keep handy and not that expensive to put together.
