Well, whatever they do, they come out better than the way I go in! I don’t take care hands, I don’t use lotion on them and I forget to use the cuticle stuff I bought for them. Since I don’t get them painted (I do buff & shine) maybe they don’t cut them but they do soften them and I wear the warmed hand mits with lotion/oils on my hands, they are very soft and they do push them back. They pick around them with those little nippers, whatever that little thing is, maybe cutting it, not sure. I have, fortunately, never had an infection from nail salon but again, I only do the nails every 2nd or 3rd pedicure.
Today’s “I refuse to buy”…. Ground beef!
I was wanting to make a “good” dinner tonight that would have enough for leftovers for H because I’m likely going out of town tomorrow. Meatloaf I thought! (H will not eat ground turkey). 80/20 at the big box store was $6.49/pound! 
The only thing cheaper was the ground beef in a giant tubular shape which I said “no thank you” to.
Instead I bought a chicken to roast - $1.49/pound and if I had room, a second one would have been 1/2 off.

Ok I think we are way off topic at this point but interesting study! I still think my interest in keeping plastic bottles out of the environment will win out and I’ll keep drinking tap. By the way you can significantly reduce your lead exposure if you run the tap until the water is cold - the main thing is not to drink water that’s been sitting in the pipes. I do always do that, even at home (I don’t filter my water at home at all, plastics again and mold growing in the plastic filters).

I got to see them as part of a convention in San Francisco once, and I could have been right up against the stage, but that was too close. I was maybe 15 feet from them.
THEN… as luck would have it we were staying at the W Hotel. They were too. I can’t remember if I rode the elevator with them or just saw them get off the elevator or what, but “quite the brush with greatness”

I actually do like it (free) in my hotel room because I am usually traveling for work and can take the bottle with me as I run around to prep for work stuff. (But ideally, I remember to bring a reusable water bottle with me on my trips…)

For me, getting 2 meals out of it helps the sting. (My fav dish at my fav Chinese place is like 2-1/2 meals - they cram that to-go container to the gills!)

When we order food we usually do it family style (no one gets their own), and with several young adults in the household, it’s rare to have leftovers, and if there are, they usually become second dinner the same night.

I moved to a new apartment in Jan, and it is in a different city. The water is terrible so I’ve had to buy bottled water. I can live with brushing my teeth with the tap water, but not cooking or drinking it. I have one pitcher with a filter for my fridge, but it can keep up with the quantity of water I need. I buy both gallons and individual bottles to use at home. I have (many) water bottles for the car and gym, and I fill one up before leaving the gym too (it’s in denver, so water is good) and often pour that into the electric kettle at home. If I go to the rec center 2 blocks from my apt., the water is awful and I have to bring a bottle from home.
I do recycle every plastic water bottle, but I still feel guilty even buying them.

Great show - saw it last year. Bryan Adams - big hit guy - and he has two stages - one in the front (the main) but opens and closes on the one in the rear - so you’ll get a few songs close to you even far away.
